Devi essere consapevole di quello a cui andrai incontro se decidessi di diventare un dropshipper.

“Molti” infatti sono partiti proprio da questo business online per riuscire a creare delle vere e proprie aziende multi-milionarie.

But let me explain first what dropshipping is.

In a few words: selling products from other companies without owning them yourself, thus reducing costs and increasing profits.

Not bad guys!

There are many advantages (if you know how to take advantage of them).

You don't have to produce anything.

You don't have to have workers in a factory working for you.

You don't have logistics costs.

And you don't even have to own a warehouse.

None of this.

Your potential profit will be the difference between the supplier's list price and the final price increased by which the customer pays you (minus clearly traffic costs and something else, but I'll explain it later...)

In short, you have zero hassle and theoretically unlimited profit, depending on how many products you can sell.

So nothing, all you have to do is find a product that people like, find a Chinese supplier who offers you great deals, create an e-commerce on Shopify, do some ads on Facebook and TikTok and... make money.

But now stop.

I can already hear the sound of keys typing on your keyboard searching on Google: "How to start dropshipping immediately!"

Before you do anything, it is necessary that you understand that the market has become competitive and if you want your business to at least take off and really take flight, you must necessarily have very high skills in:

  • Copywriting for writing your advertising announcements and product descriptions.

  • Advertising for creating ads on different social platforms: YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

  • Marketing to intercept the desires of your future customers and the levers on which to base your activities

  • UX/UI Design for creating the graphic interface of your website and making it highly converting.

  • Etc.

So it's all very nice, yes, but it needs to be done with criteria and not by chance like most people do... especially if you don't want to become one of the many on the market who opens their own business only to see it fail in a very short time or with insignificant earnings.

And then... before you start, you must know perfectly one of the mantras of dropshipping:

that is the 70/30 rule...

which means that 70% of your results depend directly on the quality of the products you will sell (so please, do your market analysis well).

While the remaining 30% concerns all the skills I listed earlier.

BUT DOES DROPSHIPPING WORK?

NO.

What I want to tell you is that the classic way of doing it doesn't work anymore.

What actually works is not Dropshipping itself, but the ability to use this method to create real BRANDS.

Real companies that eventually create their own product lines, have a team, employees, etc.

This is because advertising costs, especially after Apple's update to IOS14, have skyrocketed, and competition has become ruthless over the years.

You need to create something of your own, something unique that people really want.

You need to position yourself with a STRONG and WINNING brand.

With dropshipping, at most you can try to start.

Heh yes it's not that easy!

But it is only by creating a brand that you will make a difference, which is why there are people who started with dropshipping and have gone on to create huge brands...

...managing to build real empires, just like Davie Fogarty did, who was able to generate millions of dollars thanks to the brand TheOodie and its special pajamas.

Yes, you can do it without expertise, without money, and from the comfort of your couch!

Do you want the honest answer?

No, not a chance.

You need to know what product the market wants.

You need a super competent team.

You need time.

You need money.

If you have all these things and really want to be a dropshipper, then start and be prepared to fail for a while before hitting the right one (if you ever do) and start working hard to create a solid brand and company.

Otherwise, there are plenty of much more profitable alternatives out there, less competitive or especially where fixed costs don't rise so drastically as revenue increases (reread that sentence if you didn't understand it).
