WHAT IS SALES REALLY
What do I mean?
When you buy or use something that you "love", do you talk about it to others?
I'll tell you, yes.
Do you promote it spontaneously with enthusiasm and passion?
I'll tell you, yes.
And it can be simply a f***ing shampoo when you take a shower or whatever comes to mind...
...but what's incredible is that, when you do it, without any ulterior motive, after a short time even the people you talked to about that stuff end up buying it themselves.
So? Did you make a sale?
So where's the money for your commission?
The truth is that selling (the kind that enriches the world): is helping, is sharing, is giving and often only receiving at the end.
And that's perfectly fine.
Because believe me, it's never the product that sells itself.
It's always you who makes the difference.
BUT HOW TO SELL EFFECTIVELY
All the smart people I know say that selling is one of the first skills to develop in order to succeed in life.
And I can absolutely confirm this absolute truth.
Selling is crucial for any kind of business.
But it's often crucial even in life outside of business.
The problem is that there are false beliefs about this activity that you absolutely must remove from your brain.
This is because more and more idiots have spread the rumor that you have to manipulate to sell.
That you have to know neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to sell.
But things aren't exactly like that.
Actually, they're not just like that.
Many, in fact, when they start studying sales, make the mistake of buying and "studying" general NLP books or the rehashes of the new gurus, when instead they should take in hand: Bryan Tracy, Robert Dilts, Richard Bandler, in short, the most cutting-edge treatises.
You have to break down those classic stereotypes of ignorant people who think that someone with folded arms will never buy.
Obviously there are some small concepts you need to learn like communication levers and terms to use and not use etc.
But the first real thing you really need to understand to succeed in sales is:
You have to sell if it makes sense to sell.
This is the real turning point, strategy n1.
You must blindly believe in what you sell.
Dig deep into yourself, into your mind, into your beliefs and analyze what you propose.
Because if you want to sell FOR REAL and in an ethical and sustainable way, you have to do it for the good of the customer (which is what ultimately makes you succeed in your mission and also benefits you).
Sales is nothing more than a one-to-one art where I win and where the other person also wins. In reality, it can be O2O, in groups, over the phone, through video calls, etc., etc., etc.
Selling means helping.
On the contrary, if you're like those gurus out there with their rented fake Lamborghinis who "sell" scam products...
well then get ready for a mountain of crap because they will overwhelm you (as they should).
The customer is NOT an enemy to whom you can peddle anything; get that straight in your head.
So, in short, if you have something that can bring value to people out there, then you should sell it to them (and they will thank you too).
And if they remain satisfied, believe me, they will buy from you 1, 5, 20 times.
Becoming a brand evangelist (like Apple fans who line up in front of stores every year).
When you go to make a sale, it's a kind of Service Attitude, that is, with a form of service for the other person, to do them good.
So the first question you must ask yourself is: Why should this person buy from me?
Is there a reason why this person wants to buy my weight loss program, my dishwasher, or my online course?
Can I, with my product or service, solve their problem?
If the answer is yes and there's sense to it, then you're in luck (the most necessary part, not the only one).
This is because what you have to offer has value for other people and for the world.
After that, your purpose, once understood this, will be to sell as many times as possible to as many people as possible.
But never forget your mission.
And above all, remember, you can't sell ice to Eskimos.
Because they don't need it.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU SELL SOMETHING THAT IS UNETHICAL?
Simple, sooner or later it will all come back to you.
People talk, especially online...
and if you sell them something they don't need or worse, that harms them, rest assured they will present you with the bill right at your doorstep.
And what will happen?
That your reputation will be tarnished: FOREVER! and there's no going back from this.
My friend, the world is smaller than you think.
There are reviews, blogs, social networks…
in a few words: you'll be screwed!
And if you don't want to throw away your entire business, it's better for you to start doing things properly!
As you can see, I'm only giving you the answers, you'll have to do the bulk of the work by rolling up your sleeves.
Good luck my friend ;)
Ps. On Linkedin, I only talk about sales. About how to turn your life around with it, how it works, why and how of everything. How to create sales networks and capable and cohesive teams.
See you there.
